Bowman Traps update and details of Fundraiser this Sunday at Naul CPSC

The Committee are delighted to announce that we took delivery of our Seven Brand New Bowman Traps this weekend from Mourne Shooting Grounds. This delivery included Batteries, Morrison Electronic Releases, Trollies and Cabling for all seven machines. This Equipment will be used by our affiliated clubs in the promotion of our Sport throughout the Country.

On Behalf of the Committee, Clubs and Membership of Clay Sports Ireland we would again like to take this opportunity to thank the Department of Trade Tourism and Sport for the award of this much needed grant to our Sport under the Sports Capital Program 2014.

These traps will firstly be in use this Sunday 22/03/2015 at the 100 Bird World Championship Fundraiser in Naul CPSC.

On the 29/03/2015(Following Sunday) the traps will be used at the first CSI 50 bird clay shoot at Harbour House Sports Club close to Athy Co. Kildare. Harbour House Sports Club are a newly affiliated CSI Club and this new equipment will hopefully enable Harbour House hold a 100 Target League event later on in 2015.

On Easter Sunday 05/04/2015 these Traps will be used at our first 100 Target league event at Ballinasloe CPC. It is hoped that this equipment will also enable Ballinasloe CPC run a marathon 15 stand League event later in 2015.

The Committee would like to thank Drumman CPC for running our third successful fundraiser last Sunday. We would like also to thank our Members for showing their support for the event.

We have committed to the running of these fundraising events to pay for our Teams Entry Fees and Kit for the main event at the upcoming World Sporting Championships at South Florida Gun-club. We are still a long way from achieving this goal and the Euro/Dollar Exchange rate is making the situation very difficult presently. We would encourage our clubs and members to give one last push and turnout in great numbers in support for our Clay Sports Ireland Team by supporting this event at Naul CPSC on Sunday. There will also be a 50 bird option in Naul CPSC on Sunday at a cost of €20 for any members who want to show their support for the team but don’t want to shoot the 100 bird event. Shooting Starts at 10:00am. Hope to see you all there.

Finally we would like to pass on our hearty Congratulations to Peter Hanifin on winning the Barney Mullen trophy at Courtlough on St. Patrick’s Day.
